This trip is a big seller every season, and it is easy to understand why. It’s a simple way to enjoy superb skiing and a great stay in a vibrant and fascinating city. We have our chartered bus meet us at our doorstep every morning, and drop us off each afternoon. We can leave our skis on the bus, allowing effortless travel to the slopes. And, we stay in a wonderful hotel, within walking distance of Temple Square, great restaurants, entertainment and culture.
Upon arrival, using the complimentary hotel shuttle, an easy 15-minute ride from the airport finds you at the Embassy Suites in downtown Salt Lake City. Each suite has a living room, refrigerator, microwave and a separate bedroom. With a full breakfast each morning and happy hour each evening, it’s the perfect spot to socialize with our fellow members. Yet it is only 30-45 minutes from "The Greatest Snow on Earth," as they like to say in Utah.
We’ll ski these resorts:
The Canyons: Nestled at the edge of Park City in the Wasatch Range, and the happy recipient of 355 inches of snow every year! Snowbasin: One of North America’s oldest continuously operating resorts with 2,820 acres of varied terrain, offering some of the most amazing skiing and boarding available! Solitude: Great skiing on both sides of a long ridge. This is a smaller area with shorter lift lines, but plenty of challenge for every level of skier.
Park City: Superb skiing with the option to ski a little and shop a little on the historic Main Street in this old mining town.
Powder Mountain: Ranked #1 for snow quality in the 2006 Ski Magazine readers' survey of North American resorts. Snow purists prefer this resort, where only genuine, fallen-from-the-sky Utah powder graces the steep slopes and gold medal terrain.
Snowbird: Legendary skiing terrain combined with over 500 inches of yearly snow and amazing resort amenities to keep everyone smiling.
OTHGI created the Utah Sampler 12 years ago. It is truly a unique trip to skiing paradise. The bus capacity is 47, so, if you want to be on it, better sign up now.
