“Over the Hill” Skiers Go Downhill Together

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Defying their group's name, members of Over The Hill Gang, International® (OTHGI) have been getting together each week for several years to ski the powder at ski resorts around Colorado--just one of many benefits of membership in this country's oldest and largest groups of mature skiers. The Over The Hill Gang, International® is a ski club that draws members age 50 and over from all over the world for ski trips, special ski days, and individual skiing.

At weekly Ski Days, intermediate or better downhill skiers (all age 50 and up) meet in the morning, separate into groups of similar ability, and enjoy a day of guided skiing at no additional cost. Starting in December and continuing into April while skipping holidays, these young-at-heart skiers get together at:
-- Arapahoe Basin & Vail on Mondays,
-- Breckenridge & Snowmass on Tuesdays,
-- Winter Park on Wednesdays,
-- Keystone on Thursdays,
-- Loveland on Fridays, and
-- each day Sunday through Friday at Steamboat.
-- Guided skiing at Snowmass on Tuesdays starts in January.

The Over the Hill Gang has been sharing fun on the slopes since 1977 when three ski instructors got together with a group of friends, all over the age of 50, at Copper Mountain resort in Colorado. There have been a lot of changes to ski equipment and to the resorts since then, but the camaraderie stays the same and has attracted around 5,500 members to the organization.

The membership of Over The Hill Gang, International includes at-large members and members of eleven local chapters around the country. All members can take advantage of more than 250 discounts on lift tickets, lessons, lodging and equipment whenever they ski. For skiers who prefer that someone else organize their ski trips, OTHGI offers ski trips and other adventures.

Membership dues for this fun-loving group of mature skiers start at $50 per year.
